Websites usually see your public IP, not your device’s address on the local network. After connecting to a VPNJR route, run the lookup again to confirm that your public IP has switched to the selected region.

Location data comes from IP registration and routing records and is useful for confirming the general public-IP region. Databases may update slowly, so city-level details should not be treated as an exact location.
The ISP field identifies the network operator associated with the public IP. Different routes may show different names; this does not affect checking the current public IP by country or region.
The interface provides a reference assessment based on current network characteristics. Some data-center routes may be identified as proxies; when no conclusion is possible, the result will clearly say “Unable to determine at this time.”
A switched public IP does not automatically mean that DNS requests use the same route. A DNS leak generally means that domain lookups are still handled by the original network provider, making the public-IP region and DNS route inconsistent.
This page’s interface returns GeoIP information only and does not present a DNS check as completed when it has not been performed. Follow the order on the right to review your client and system settings.
